The foursome of Ann Jenkins, Matt Sudaz, Dave Moeller and Steve Tolzien won the Second Annual Links Technology Cup Golf Outing benefiting the Schaumburg Park Foundation after engaging in a chip-off following a tie of the horse race finish. For Jenkins, Moeller and Tolzien, it was their second straight championship.
The foursome totaled a 53 in the best-ball, scramble format. Finishing second was the foursome of Gene Faut, Andy Mack, Bob Prihoda and Bill Citron with a 54; followed by Jim Burke, Bob VanValkenburg, Gary Kravis and Dan Smith with a 56. The top three foursomes engaged in a two-hole, horse race finish to determine the overall champion. Burke, VanValkenburg, Kravis and Smith were eliminated on the first hole.
Jeff Templeton won the Woodfield Longest Putt of the Day with a 35-foot, 1-inch putt on hole No. 10. Other Putt of the Day winners included Jack Bishop (#1, 29'9"), Gary Swanson (#4, 30'3"), Gary Broering (#7, 18'9"), Keith Rojek (#8, 21'7"), Dave Moeller (#16, 21'5") and Marv Stammer (#18, 19'10").
Closest to the Pin winners were Greg Ferrell (#3), Matt Suda (#6), Mike Daniels (#14) and Bill Citron (#17). Andy Mack had the Longest Drive for the men (#9) while Jean Schlinkmann (#15) had the longest for the women. John Mohan (#2) and Mary Downs (#13) were the winners for Straightest Drive.
